Our very 1st professional wine was a 2009 Montepulciano blend (that we make every year now). We based the design on a collection of images, targeting the art nouveau era and a home wine label by Mikael’s friend from college for a 2008 Petite Sirah. The tattoo artist that did the work was told to think of a “middle aged absinthe fairy happy to have a drink”. We had our first sketch in 24 hours and final image the next day. While the artist never met Denise in person, there are certain common traits. We loved the image and dubbed her the “FairyWineMother” , incorporating her into our logo and Denise has adopted her as an avatar of sorts...
